Who is this experience for?
Independent kiters who can ride upwind confidently and want to progress: boost higher, land a kiteloop, clean up transitions. Still working on staying upwind? We'll connect you with great local schools so you're ready next time. Riders must be 18 or older.
How big is the group?
8 to 10 riders. Small enough for personal coaching, big enough for a great crew. Solo travellers are very welcome, and most leave with new friends.
Do I need to bring my own gear?
No. Cabrinha kites, boards and bars are included. Bring your harness with spreader bar, an impact vest and, ideally, your own foot straps. Bringing your own kites is fine too: for a 75kg rider we suggest a 9m in August and November and an 8m in September and October. Ask us for sizes for your weight.
What if I damage the gear?
Accidental damage during supervised sessions is on us, so there are no repair bills. Intentional damage or misuse isn't covered.
What if there's no wind?
It's rare here on our experience dates. If the wind doesn't come, we switch to sightseeing: lagoons, dunes and the coast. Because everything is booked in advance, we can't offer refunds for low wind.
Is food included?
A big Brazilian breakfast every morning and unlimited açaí between sessions, so you ride light instead of after a heavy lunch. Lunches and dinners aren't included, but we organise group dinners at our favourite local places.
Can I work remotely?
Yes. The accommodation has reliable Wi-Fi and you can skip an activity when work calls. If you need a guaranteed connection, bring mobile data as a backup.
Which airport should I fly into?
Fortaleza (FOR), where most riders land, or Jericoacoara (JJD). Round-trip transfers from both are included.
Do I need a visa for Brazil?
US, Canadian and Australian passport holders need a Brazilian e-Visa, so apply early at brazil.vfsevisa.com. EU passport holders generally don't. Everyone else should check with a Brazilian consulate.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes. Your policy must cover kiteboarding, sports injuries and medical emergencies.
What should I pack?
Less than you think: harness, impact vest, rashguards and swimwear, high-SPF sunscreen and zinc, light clothes, yoga clothes, a light sweater, chargers and a power bank. We send a full checklist before the experience.
What is the cancellation policy?
90 or more days before arrival: full refund. 60–89 days: a cancellation charge of up to 50% of the total price. 30–59 days: up to 80%. Under 30 days: up to 100%. You can also request one date change (60+ days before arrival) or ask to transfer your booking to another eligible rider.
Can I arrive early or stay longer?
Of course. Tell us and we'll help with extra nights and activities. Additional nights aren't part of the package price.
